March is Women’s History Month, a time “to reflect on the often-overlooked contributions of women to U.S. history,” according to History.com. President Jimmy Carter was the first to designate a Women’s History Week back in the 1980s. Since then, feminists used this designation to push their oppressive view of womanhood while celebrating liberal dogmas like the Equal Rights Amendment, abortion, and transgenderism. Feminists have historically denounced conservative women and the vital roles of mother, wife, and homemaker. Now, of course, they have trouble even defining what a “woman” is.
Recently, Eagle Forum President Kris Ullman penned the article, “What Women Want” which examines how and why progressives have been unsuccessful in pushing females into certain preferred career fields that are simply not that attractive to most women. She comments:
Of course, women can be doctors, lawyers, and STEM professionals but the reality is that most women prefer to make family a priority.
Ullman and Eagle Forum’s Executive Director Tabitha Walter attended the White House’s celebration of Women’s History Month on Wednesday, March 26. Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) opened the event with an announcement of the launch of the Republican Women’s Caucus. The group will be chaired by Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) in the House and Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) in the Senate. The highlight of the afternoon was the announcement by Rep. Cammack that she is expecting a baby girl in August! President Donald Trump followed their remarks by honoring notable women throughout history such as Susan B. Anthony, Harriet Tubman, and Rosa Parks. He also commented on restoring the integrity of women today and said:
For four long years, we had an administration that tried to abolish the very concept of motherhood and replace it with radical gender ideology… They destroyed women’s spaces and even tried to replace the word “mother” with the term “birther person.” What’s that all about? And you wonder why they lost…
In the November 2024 elections, 52% of women voters supported Kamala Harris with 46% voting for Trump. However, as we know, women are not a monolithic voting group. When we examine the voting trends of subgroups such as Hispanic, Native American, retired, and working-class populations, we see that more of these women voted Republican. This was true as well for those living in middle suburbs, military posts, and rural America. American women across the country are tired of Democrats touting “women’s rights” while refusing to acknowledge two sexes and giving males the right to invade women’s bathrooms, locker rooms, shelters, prisons, and sports teams. In addition, the left has increased the very real burdens on the family from high taxes, inflation, and a loss of consumer choices in education, appliances, and automobiles.
President Trump and his administration have worked to right the wrongs of the Biden administration. On his first day in office, the President took action to restore biological truth by recognizing that there are only two sexes: male and female. He also signed an executive order to keep males out of female sports, locker rooms, and bathrooms. These directives specifically address women, but there are more issues that women care about as well.
Last year, border security was a top issue for women. By May 2024, women had surpassed men in growing concern for the border crisis. As a result, the first bill President Trump signed into law was the Laken Riley Act (S. 5) named after a college student Laken Riley who was murdered by an illegal immigrant while jogging on campus.
American women have seen the impact on their bank accounts as well. Inflation hit record highs under the Biden administration making basic goods more difficult to afford. At the same time, new federal regulations restricted certain appliances such as dishwashers, stoves, and clothes washers as well as vehicles driving up the costs of these items. President Trump has directed all agencies to find ways to cut taxpayer costs, and Congress is working to overturn all of these ridiculous regulations.
Women also want their children to be educated, happy, and healthy. President Trump recently signed an executive order directing the Secretary of Education to find ways to return the power and money from the federal department back to the states. Parents’ eyes were opened to the failures of our public education system during the COVID pandemic when they saw first-hand what their children were learning. Gender ideology, critical race theory, forced masking, and vaccine mandates were the last straw. Parents have realized that their rights have been severely eroded. Dismantling the Department of Education will allow parents to have more of a voice in their children’s education. Additionally, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is working to Make America Healthy Again by researching childhood illnesses, vaccines, and harmful chemicals that may be in the foods that our children eat.
We finally have an Administration that is listening to what women really want. When women have economic stability and a smaller government, their families can then thrive. Eagle Forum has always championed the mighty power of dedicated women to change not only our government but our culture as well. We encourage you to join us and use your voice! If you have not signed up for an Eagle Forum membership yet, we encourage you to do so here.
