President Donald Trump signed an executive order to withdraw the United States from the World Health Organization (WHO) on his first day in office. The U.S. has been left to fund the lion’s share of this international organization, which has consistently pushed policies that violate our values and our national sovereignty. It’s time that we cut ties permanently.
Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) has introduced the WHO Withdrawal Act (H.R. 54) that will not only defund the WHO but permanently repeal the law that authorized our membership in it. This would ensure that no future President can make the sole decision to rejoin the WHO without Congress’s approval.
Congress must act quickly. The WHO is still working on a new version of the Pandemic Treaty that they plan to adopt sometime this year. They plan to cement all the bad policies they advocated for during the COVID-19 pandemic while taking no responsibility for their failures — such as covering up Chinese involvement in the creation of the virus, encouraging lockdowns, and praising mask and vaccine mandates. In addition, they call abortion a “human right” and “gender-affirming care” an essential health intervention for those with gender dysphoria. They want to regulate energy availability to combat “climate change” and support the dangerous “One Health” ideology that considers plants and animals equal to human beings.
Please call or email your Representative and urge them to co-sponsor and pass H.R. 54, the WHO Withdrawal Act.
